Rhapsodie – Clarinette et ensemble de clarinettes

This RHAPSODY is a tribute to Claude Debussy’s work of the same name.
Composed in 2012, it is dedicated to François Sauzeau, principal clarinetist of the Orchestre National de Lyon, and to the “Ensemble de Clarinettes de Voiron”.
It features a series of varied themes, alternating between reverie, virtuosity, tenderness, and dance…
Written for clarinet and clarinet ensemble, it also exists for clarinet and string quintet. It can be heard on the album  CLARINET FANTASIA with Philippe Berrod.
