Written in 2018 at the request of the University of Alabama for the Amicitia Duo (Denise Gainey & Diane Barger).

It begins with an Allegro giusto full of energy and mischief, which is calmed by a deliberately dreamlike interlude.

The eminently expressive Andante Nostalgico is enriched by an intermediate fugal episode.

Finally, an Allegro spirituoso takes on the appearance of a frenzied finale, where virtuosity and humor join the party.
