This collection is the first volume in the ‘Ebony’ collection and is for beginner clarinettists. These first six pieces are based on the simplest fingerings for the instrument.
I asked the composers to follow very specific guidelines: simple rhythms, easy sequences, legato playing, preferably in short phrases, standard dynamics… all with a focus on one fundamental aspect: musicality. I think they succeeded in meeting the challenge!
