Un bal russe / A Russian ball
This piece is a suite of dances, a tribute to five Russian composers.
The suite consists of two tender, delicate but lively movements, referencing Sergei Rachmaninoff and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, as well as three dances full of dynamism and humor, reminiscent of Dmitri Shostakovich, Igor Stravinsky, and Aram Khachaturian.
