12 études concertantes
These 12 Etudes concertantes (concertante studies) are composed for two equal clarinets, Bb or bass.
They allow students to tackle a whole range of issues related to the instrument in duets, either between students or between student and teacher: wide interval leaps, chromatics, asymmetrical meters, trills and scales, arpeggios and staccato, swing, left-hand velocity, playing together.
These etudes were concieved first and foremost as concert duest, hence their musicality.
